LaGuardia P2 Parking Garage


Universal waste abatement of PCB ballasts and light bulbs. Asbestos abatement of roofing systems, non-friable below grade waterproofing and thermal system insulation.


Complete structure demolition of the former P2 parking garage located at LaGuardia Airport. Approximately 1,000,000 square feet of reinforced concrete floor slabs were mechanically demolished. Former garage was located adjacent to Grand Central Parkway and at the center of the airport. Gramercy utilized strategic means and methods to accelerate demolition in order to meet milestones, protect pedestrian and vehicular traffic.


Concrete rubble derived from the demolition was crushed at a designated location. Approximately 35,000 cubic yards of concrete was crushed to utilized for backfill.
