Kerana Ivanov Operations and Safety

Kerana has been with Gramercy for five years, overseeing operations in our shop and conducting off of our employee safety training. Before coming to Gramercy she spent 31 years running her father’s general construction company, Relco Construction in the Bronx. They specialized in interior renovation work for hospitals, banks, nursing homes and other commercial buildings. 

As we celebrate Women in Construction week, we’d like to give a special recognition to Kerana, who has spent most of her life working in the construction industry.  

Kerana is always eager to help and loves to be busy! After leaving her full-time job at Gramercy each night, you can find her then working at a local car dealership. Besides working, Kerana loves to visit her family in Germany, loves the beach and is looking forward to her trip to Portugal in the fall.

Zdsislaw “Jerry” Choinski Local 15 Operator

Jerry is an operator with Local 15. He moved to the US from Poland at the age of 23 and began working for Gramercy in 2007. The biggest projects he has worked on with Gramercy have been the Drake Hotel, Gansevoort and LGA airport. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time at his home in Miami which is just a block away from the beach. He is blessed with a wife and a son. We want to thank Jerry for all of his hard work and dedication over the years!

Warehouse Delivery Driver, Julio Salguero

Julio has been with Gramercy since 2006. He works in the shop but most of his days are spent on the road delivering orders to our job sites. Everyone’s always happy to see Julio pull up to a site! Julio’s favorite part of his job is driving, listening to his hometown music from Guatemala on the road and getting to visit all of our teams at each project. 

When he’s not working, he likes to spend time with family and friends, cook Spanish food and just relax. We can’t think of a better way to spend free time. Thank you Julio for your hard work and dedication to Gramercy!

Local 79 Laborer Jovanni Reyes

We briefly met Jovanni last week when he was recognized by Skanska for his safe practices at LGA Airport. 

Hard Work, Dedication, and Talent run in the Reyes family. He is the baby brother of Manny Reyes, our skillful head mechanic and Benny Reyes, our accomplished operator.  Jovanni has been with Gramercy for 16 years and has worked on a number of projects for us, the biggest being Giants Stadium, LGA and JFK.

Jovanni’s ideal vacation is getting to go back home to Dominican Republic to visit his family. In his spare time he loves spending time with his wife and beautiful daughter Brianna.
