We’re thrilled to introduce you to four members of the Gramercy team. Each brings a unique set of skills and talents to their work and we’re grateful for each of their contributions.

Emerson Marin, Warehouse Staff

Warehouse Employee, Emerson Marin

Emerson came highly recommended by his father, Oswaldo, a dedicated employee of Gramercy for the past 17 years. Given Oswaldo’s exemplary track record, we were confident Emerson would be a valuable addition to our team.

Emerson has been with Gramercy for approximately four months. Hailing from Ecuador, he has been diligently working in the shop, focusing on painting our equipment and boxes. Emerson takes great pride in his work and has a passion for painting and repairing items. His efforts are crucial in maintaining the appearance and functionality of our machines and boxes, which endure significant wear and tear from job sites. We greatly appreciate his dedication and hard work.

Emerson has a younger sister who he enjoys spending time with and during his free time, you can often find him relaxing and spending time at the mall. We are grateful to have Emerson as part of our team and look forward to supporting his growth and development within the company.

Thank you Emerson, for being part of the Gramercy team!

Joon Bang, Field Engineer

Field Engineer, Joon Bang

Hyeonjoon Bang, a new arrival to the Gramercy team who has been with us for about a month now and is currently working on our Huntington High School press box project.

Joon previously worked as a project manager in Boston, where he grew up. He studied industrial engineering at Clarkson University, but Joon’s interest in construction began in high school when he started working as a laborer by chance when he was offered a job by one of his soccer team member’s fathers. This experience sparked his passion for the field. Over the years, Joon has worked on various civil projects, including foundations, bridges, and a project in North Carolina.

Joon has an older sister in New York, while his parents reside in Korea. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer and socializing with friends in Manhattan. He appreciates his profession because it allows him to see tangible progress and take pride in his accomplishments. Thank you Joon, we are proud to have you on our team!

Hannah Monahan, Assistant Project Manager/Field Engineer

Assistant Project Manager/Field Engineer Hannah Monahan

We’re happy to introduce Hannah as a full-time employee as of July 1st. Hannah began interning with Gramercy in the summer of 2022 and has since graduated from Drexel University with a degree in Architectural and Civil Engineering.

During the beginning of her internship, she worked on the JFK Demo and Abatement project. In her second internship, she assisted with our civil project at three elevated stations.

Hannah has the ability to analyze a project from its conception to demolition and into construction and got her career inspiration from her grandfather, who was an engineer.

As a child, she wired electronics in the second grade and worked on woodworking projects in her grandfather’s basement. Her father, an independent contractor who worked in building and landscape architecture, also influenced her as a child. She enjoys activities where she can build and use her mind.

Hannah says she appreciates her profession because she enjoys learning something new, seeing something built or taken down, and using her experience with CAD drawings to understand the engineering of it all.

Hannah lives in Long Island with her parents and her cat, Olive. In her spare time, she enjoys going to concerts and thrifting.

Micheal O’Brien, Field Assistant

Field Assistant, Mikey O’Brien

Micheal has been with Gramercy for about a year, having been brought into the company by his older brother, Pat. He currently serves as Pat’s field assistant on the Computer Associates Project.

Micheal, also known as Mikey, has a twin sister, two twin brothers, and another brother, making a total of five siblings in his family. He attended Suffolk Community College for two years, studying general arts before joining Gramercy.

Mikey is a hard worker who is eager to learn. He says he enjoys his job the most because of the people he works with and appreciates learning something new every day. In his spare time, he likes golfing and snowboarding.

We’re grateful to have Mikey as a part of the Gramercy Team!
