Get to know the talented team behind Gramercy in our first half of 2025 Meet the Team roundup. From January through May, we’ve spotlighted the people driving our progress, strategy and client success, and now you can meet them all in one place.
Sara Catano Gil, Accounts Payable

We’re excited to introduce Sara Catano Gil, a key member of our Accounts Payable team here at Gramercy.
Sara joined Gramercy in November 2024 and has been an integral part of our finance operations ever since. A proud graduate of Adelphi University, Sara studied Business Administration and Marketing, combining her love for organization and numbers to thrive in her role.
Sara’s journey is one of resilience and determination. Born in Menegín, Colombia, she moved to the U.S. at the age of 11 with her mother and sister. At the time, she spoke no English, but within two years of dedicated schooling, she had learned to read and write the language fluently. That same perseverance continues to shine in her work every day.
When asked what advice she would give to someone pursuing a career in accounting, Sara says: “Be organized and diligent. Keeping things structured and taking good notes will set you up for long-term success.”
Outside of work, Sara expresses her creativity through crafts and painting, adding a colorful balance to her analytical profession.
Thank you, Sara, for your hard work, positive energy, and dedication. We’re lucky to have you on the Gramercy team!
Maximilian Gerow, Assistant Project Manager

Max has been with us for seven months and came highly recommended by his lifelong friend from Carle Place, NY, Dominic, also a valued member of the Gramercy family.
Max’s journey into construction began while working alongside his father at their family-owned residential construction company, MaxWill Pro (named after Max and his brother).
While studying at Farmingdale State, Max spent nine years gaining hands-on experience in construction before branching out to work at an asphalt and concrete company. After a year there, he made the move to Gramercy and is currently overseeing our demolition at New York Presbyterian Hospital.

Max has been fascinated by the level of detail involved in demolition, from the meticulous planning stages to watching a building come down floor by floor. His advice for those entering the industry: stay positive, stay motivated, and most importantly — pay attention to detail.
In his free time, Max enjoys golfing, working out, and spending time with his girlfriend, Leah. Thank you, Max! We’re thrilled to have you on the Gramercy team!
Project Executive Joseph Giannetti

Joseph originally interviewed with the company 15 years ago but decided to remain with a New Jersey-based company at the time. However, he always stayed in touch with our team and now he’s been working at Gramercy for the past five months.
After graduating high school, Joe started his own landscaping company, which he ran for a few years before earning his Series 7 license and working on Wall Street in commercial financing. He later transitioned to the demolition industry, where he discovered his true passion for construction.
Before joining Gramercy, Joe spent 20 years in construction, further solidifying his expertise in the field. Joe has found his calling in construction, and he often points out that Gramercy is a unique place to work, something he assures us is meant as a compliment!
His advice to newcomers in the industry? Find a company that invests in teaching and training because it will help you evolve and grow. One of Joe’s most memorable projects at Gramercy was our MetLife project. Currently Joe is managing the Hertz Parking Garage Demolition at Newark Airport.
Joe is blessed with a wonderful wife, Jennifer, and two beautiful children, Joey and Jade. In their spare time, they enjoy watching their children’s sports games, vacationing, and spending quality family time together.
Joe, your hard work, dedication, and passion for this industry make a lasting impact on our team and the projects we take on. We are grateful to have you at Gramercy and look forward to all the great things ahead!
Danny Garcia, Asbestos Supervisor

Danny has been with Gramercy for 10 and a half years. He grew up in New Jersey with his parents and five siblings, where he was the youngest boy. After graduating high school, Danny followed in his brother’s footsteps and became a jewelry designer, a profession he happily held for 10 years. He handled repairs for major jewelry companies and also designed custom pieces, with his favorite being engagement rings—he even designed his wife’s ring.
However, when the market for jewelry design shifted, Danny decided to pursue a new career in abatement, influenced by his other brother’s experience in the field.
Since joining Gramercy, Danny has been an invaluable asset, supervising numerous projects. One of his most memorable assignments was the Glenwood Landing project, where he oversaw the abatement work at a former power plant.
Danny’s key advice for newcomers to the abatement industry is simple but vital: prioritize safety above all else. He stresses the importance of never rushing work, always being well-prepared, and staying up-to-date on regulations to ensure the safety of yourself and those around you.
Outside of work, Danny is blessed with his beautiful wife, Yaremi, and their daughter, Madison. He believes Gramercy is a fantastic place to work, and we couldn’t agree more – especially because of dedicated employees like him!
Thank you, Danny, for your years of hard work and commitment.
Alp Baysal, Project Executive

Alp joined Gramercy about two months ago as a Project Executive. Originally from Turkey, Alp is fluent in three languages and has a working knowledge of five. He holds a Civil Engineering degree from Turkey and began his career with two years of project work in Moscow.
After his time in Moscow, Alp returned home and served in the Turkish military for three months. Following his service, a friend’s frequent remarks about the beauty of Cape Town inspired Alp to take a trip there, where he applied to the University of Cape Town and was awarded a scholarship for a master’s degree in Engineering Management.
Upon graduation, the university immediately offered him a teaching position. After ten years in Cape Town, Alp returned to Turkey but soon received an opportunity to move New York City and he took it.
In New York, Alp worked for 22 years at Kisca. His most memorable projects include the 3rd Avenue Bridge, which he recalls being featured in a Discovery Channel documentary, and the transformation of the Highline in Manhattan.
He encourages aspiring engineers to seek good mentors, take ownership of projects, and focus on delivering solutions.
Alp is married to Marlene, and they enjoy traveling, skiing, and dining together. He is excited to be part of the Gramercy team, believing that the sky’s the limit for what we can accomplish together. We are thrilled to have Alp on our team.
