As summer draws to a close, we’re thrilled to look back at the team members we spotlighted in August of 2024. This group is a great mix of exciting, new talent and seasoned experience and we’re grateful for each of the following team member’s contributions and dedication.

George Parziale, Intern

Intern, George Parziale

We’re excited to introduce George Parziale, a dedicated member of the Gramercy family. This summer, George took on an internship with us, immersing himself in various aspects of our business. Starting in the shop, he wasn’t afraid to get his hands dirty, painting dumpsters, preparing job site orders, performing light mechanical work, and even cleaning trucks.

George has always had an interest in construction, even at a young age!

As he progressed, George moved into the office, where he gained experience in estimating, job costing, project management, and learning how the business operates. He also stepped in to help at Ace Tool, another Gramercy company, showing his commitment and versatility.

George, who is 16 and will be a senior at Chaminade High School, says his favorite task is delivering parts and supplies to our job sites, where he enjoys watching the team in action, especially working with heavy equipment. He’s currently applying to universities where he’s considering engineering.

Working at our sister company, ACE TOOL, George plays an integral role in delivering orders to local customers.

The Gramercy family is incredibly proud of his growth and can’t wait to see where his journey takes him next!

George isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty, working in many different departments.

Viviana Rozas, Asbestos Laborer

Asbestos laborer, Viviana Rozas

We’d like you to meet Viviana Rozas, an abatement worker in Union 12A, who has been with Gramercy for two years.

Before joining Gramercy, Viviana worked in car insurance. She grew up in Chile and attended the University of Chile, where she studied commercial engineering. It’s common for engineers to come from families of engineers, and this is true for Viviana. Her father is a commercial engineer, and her brother is an electrical engineer. Before coming to America, Viviana worked at the airport.

At Gramercy, Viviana’s biggest project was at Hart Island. She has also worked at our Eye Institute and JFK Airport projects. When asked what she likes about asbestos work, Viviana says she enjoys that every day brings different places and new people to meet.

Viviana lives in Long Island, where she enjoys spending time with her husband, going to the beach, biking, or going to the gym. She also enjoys spending time with her dog, Bruno.

We want to thank Viviana for being part of the Gramercy Team. We appreciate her hard work and dedication.

Andrew Zuperman, Intern

Intern, Andrew Zuperman

Andrew has completed two co-ops with us from Drexel University, having initially pursued a degree in Finance and completed his first co-op with Chubb Insurance before deciding to switch his focus to Construction Management.

Originally from Brooklyn and now residing in Queens, Andrew comes from a family that values education; his younger brother also currently attends college.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Andrew has a strong athletic background, having played ice hockey throughout his youth. Today he’s dedicated to powerlifting in his spare time. He and his family also share a passion for traveling to exotic destinations.

Andrew expressed his appreciation for the work culture at Gramercy Group, noting the inclusive environment and strong communication among team members. His favorite project thus far has been the Coney Island project, where he had the opportunity to be involved from start to finish, engaging with numerous employees and meeting clients.

When asked for advice to share with fellow interns, Andrew emphasized the importance of being vocal about the career path they wish to pursue. His own experience with us reflects this; he began in estimating and is now gaining hands-on experience in the field.

Thank you, Andrew, for your honesty and contributions over the past two years. We wish you the best of luck in your final year of college.
