We’re happy to recap another month of employee spotlights here at Gramercy, by highlighting some very special team members. As always, we are grateful for all of their dedication and hard work.

Controller, Edwin Daniel Acevedo

Edwin Daniel Acevedo, Controller

Dan has been with Gramercy since 2006. Before Gramercy, Dan began his career at Seaman’s and Levitz Furniture working both retailers’ accounts payable. At Gramercy, Dan handles our accounts payable, IT issues, job office coordination, fuel consumption monitoring and so much more! Dan is always willing to learn and take on more projects within our organization.

We appreciate his calm demeanor, witty personality and of course his work ethic. In his spare time he enjoys vacationing, fishing, fixing up things in his home and spending time with family and friends.

Thank you Dan, for the many ways you help make Gramercy a success everyday.

Project Manager, Andrew Lopes

Andrew Lopes, Project Manager

Andrew joined the Gramercy team a little over a year ago. At the time he was moving back to NY from Chicago, getting married and starting his job at Gramercy. A graduate of Cornell, who majored in Civil Engineering, Andrew currently oversees our JFK project. He comes from a big family, with two brothers and two sisters.

We’re always interested in why our team members chose to pursue a career in construction. For Andrew, his grandfather played a big role in this decision. His grandfather owned a concrete company and later in life started fixing up apartments and teaching Andrew the ropes. Andrew also worked closely in his father’s trucking business. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with his wife, Roma.  Thank you Andrew for being part of the Gramercy Team.

Assistant Project Manager, Patrick O’Brien

Patrick O’Brien, Assistant Project Manager

Patrick has been with Gramercy for one year now. He came highly recommended by our Field Superintendent, William Higbie. Before Gramercy, Patrick was working in residential construction right after graduating from SUNY Oneonta as a Business Economic major. Patrick is one of five siblings, including two sets of twins (he’s part of the older set).

In his spare time, Patrick enjoys working, golfing, snowboarding and spending time with his beautiful girlfriend, Arden.

At Gramercy he says he enjoys being part of the planning that goes into the start of a demo project along with getting to experience the building on the ground.  He says he feels great satisfaction seeing the building on the ground knowing the amount of effort it takes to get there.

We appreciate his hard work and determination to learn. Thank you Patrick, for being a dedicated member of the Gramercy team!

Shop Mechanic, Marcos Santos

Marcos Santos, Shop Mechanic

Marcos has been with Gramercy for five years after having been highly recommended by his cousin and Gramercy team member, Oswaldo. Marcos was born in the Dominican Republic and has been a mechanic for 10 years. He is the father of three boys and in his spare time he enjoys going to the gym and staying active. We’re pretty sure he can fix almost anything but if he had to pick which piece of equipment is the most difficult, he says it would be our fleet of trucks because of their power. Thank you Marcos for keeping Gramercy’s fleet running smoothly. We are proud to have you on our team.
